Simple outfit, leather jacket, bohemian top, jeans and clog boots. I don't normally roll my jeans because I don't love the proportions on my legs, it tends to throw off the look for me and breaks up the leg line in a way I don't always love but it kinda worked here. And hey, inside photos. Let me twell you, inside photos are HARD. You really have to pay attention to the angles, the lighting and the general business of the photo in a way that you don't really outside with a tree. (I think, maybe that just me?) It feels like it's on the hard level of taking pictures and really made me work in a way I usually don't. (Outside photos are lazy for me, unless it's in a busy area.)
The photo is of my adoptive great-grandfather, a man who was well know for his horse training and his teams were always in great demand. I've driven before, although not a four horse logging team, and it's tricky with just one horse! I have a lot of admiration for both his horsemanship and his kindness as person and we shared a love for big dappled greys. It's interesting to see how far back the love for horses runs in the family as my grandmother raised her own ponies, my mother has worked as a trainer and on ranches, I've also work as an instructor and my kids love to ride - we're all a bit nuts about equines.
