Awaiting Winter

Urban Outfitters Hat
Forever21 Jacket *thrifted)
Banana Republic Cashmere Cardigan (thrifted)
Intimint Dress (thrifted)
American Eagle Boots(2 years ago) and Bag (on clearance now)

Playing a little bit of catch up here with photos, these were taken right before the snow hit. While everything does look picture perfect and Christmas card-ish with the fresh snow on the trees, there's something nostalgic and melancholy about those last few days before winter hits. Everything has dies, the trees are bared of their leaves with just thin arms brushing the dark autumn sky and there's a sense of stillness in the air. It's maybe not the Instagram Fall that gets so many likes but there's something very striking about the woods and fields when they've lost their colors and luster and seem to be just waiting.

  1. It's been snowing quite a bit here in Anchorage the past couple of days. There were something like 80 non-injury car accidents on the roads! Anyway, I had been dreading the winter so much, but when the snow finally came, I realized how nostalgic I am for this time of year. There is truly something beautiful about it.

    Take care,
