Kind of "meh" photography today, but I think this is one of my favorite outfits, I really like how the navy blue skirt tones down the bright orange sweater.   The belt is just driving me crazy in the pictures, I don't know why my belts always end up so wonky looking.  I need to start duct taping those things in place! (Yeah, that won't look weird at all...)

*I also need to start editing better, sorry about all of the spelling errors before guys, that was just laziness on my part.

  1. No kidding - one of my favorites from you as well! Orange mixed with navy is one fun color combo - and then you had to top it off with a perfect brown jacket...girl, that has been on my wish list for the longest time! You have no idea...haha, I've been on the hunt for a brown leather moto jacket since I started my almost 2 years now!
Hahaha, and I know, I almost never wear belts with my outfits because they just don't sit right on me. But I like when others add them - they give an extra touch to any outfit :)

  2. in love with that look!! and let me tell you I even like it how the belt looks. it doesn't have to be steady at all.
anyway, I think your leather jacket, orange (one of my fave colours!) sweater, classy skirt and that cute scarf make an amazing ensemble. everything just works incredibly well together and you totally rock it! when it gets warmer I will probably try something like that too although I don't actually own a leather jacket :( must work on that!
oh and there is nothing wrong with your photos. I like them!

  3. I love the way you tied the scarf...looks so chic and sophisticated! My belts don't stay in place either if I'm not wearing them with pants, drives me nuts too!

  4. With layers you are an expert, I could learn so much about savvy winter dressing from if only it got that cold here. Love the camel coat, its a classic beauty. The the splash of orange adds so much fun and vibrance, you tied your scarf so well! I also have issues with wonkily placed belts, (my trick is PresStick, I don't know what the rest of the world calls it, lol) Good luck with your spring cleaning!

  5. I, uh, safety pin my belts to my skirts when there aren't any belt loops. Yep. Classy. But otherwise my belts are all over the place, too!

The skirt and the scarf are my favorite pieces in this outfit! Orange and navy are the colors of the university in my hometown so that usually why I don't wear that color combination. But the way you've accessorized it here I barely even noticed!

  6. Cute look! Loving the pop of color and your bag!

  7. I love the orange sweater! And that scarf! And that belt! Ok, I love this whole outfit, you look so pretty.

  8. I'm pretty jealous of how well you pull of orange, it looks awesome on you. And this skirt! I really love this skirt. I basically just love everything you wear and you're probably getting tired of me saying that. But you're just always so cute and a master at layering.

  9. Orange + navy is a fun color combo! I really like the texture of the skirt with the jeweled belt. :)

  10. Love the navy and orange together. Very 70s:)

  11. I think your mix of textures in this look is wonderful - the skirt, the sweater, the coat, all working so well!
    Chic on the Cheap

  12. I absolutely ADORE this outfit!
It's so flattering and unexpected yet classy and chic!

I am loving the orange with the navy!!!! A lot :D

  13. holy sophisticated grown up katie! you look wonderful.

  14. The way you've tied the scarf (à la airline hostess) just makes this outfit. Lovely!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I always like hearing feeback! (It really makes my day!)
