Thrift Store Cool

Knitted Coat (Thrifted)
French Connection for Sears Dress
Kardashian for Sears Belt
Icing Tights
American Eagle Outfitters Boots (Thrifted)
Mosaic Opal Earrings, Blue Topaz Ring, Sapphire Band ring, Opal Ring

Before my sister had to fly back to Galena for school the two of us made a trip to the thrift store.  She was on the lookout for some more cold weather clothes since the temperatures are even lower in Galena than what we see here in Fairbanks and her clothes just weren't quite cutting it. (They had -60 below right before Christmas break and the planes were grounded until it warmed up a little bit.)  She found her warm clothes, I found this sweater coat.  I spotted it peeking out of the coats section, pulled it out and fell in love with it.  Then I tried to talk myself out of it, saying it was way too crazy looking and I would never wear it.

I'm not very good at arguments, the coat came home.

  1. Great statement coat - it goes really well with the snowy background, as the fringe makes me think of icicles. :)
That French Connection line at Sears has become a favorite of mine! I really like the fit and style of the collection.

  11. Katie, you are such a babe! These photos turned out AHMAZING. So crisp and show off your pretty outfit wonderfully :)
Haha, I'm the same way when I go thrifting. I find so many things and slowly talk myself out of a few and usually lose the battle over some item or other that's really crazy looking.
But this sweater was a major score. I love the unique fringe on it! Plus, the navy color is gorgeous on you.
And girl, you totally wear your clothes. They are not wearing you! ;)

  16. This coat is SUCH a good thrifted find! The snowy backdrop is gorgeous, I live in Colorado and really need to get some more winter coats, its 5 degrees now and the last thing I want to do is take outfit pictures outside! As for the dress, I discovered the French Connection section of Sears last year and usually love everything there! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

  18. Hi Katie, thanks so much for all your comments on the GG Awards looks, I appreciate your thoughts and opinions :) You are soooo brave for wearing short-sleeves in the snow!! Thats a really pretty dress and does need to be shown off though. Adore the fringed sweater, you always find the best unique pieces that look straight off a designer rack!
