Down the Ghostly Avenue

Sears Shearing Coat (About 10 years old and the warmest coat I own.  I really need to fix the zipper.)
BCBGeneration Jacket (thrifted with brand new tags on.)
Olive Tee Shirt (thrifted)
F21 Maxi Skirt
Madden Girl Boots
Vintage Cameo on Aquamarine Beads
American Eagle Outfitters Scarf

It's freezing cold and foggy so being the sane person that I am, I went outside and took pictures of my outfit.

That just sounds so ridiculous.

  1. LOVE the skirt and the fog. And yes, I'd have to agree, you are out of your mind. LOL. I guess the weather does that though. (I kid, I kid).

  2. Love that necklace. It's so foggy. Gives new meaning to the term "white out".

  3. katie, ghostlike is a perfect way to describe those photos. it's like you're a spiritual goddess. how are you gonna fix the zipper on your coat? can you sew? did you cut bangs or have i never noticed them before? i'm done asking questions now. just wanted you to know i pay attention. well i try to anyway. ;)

    1. I have very, very modest sewing skills so I think I'm going to take this coat to the tailor to replace the zipper. I did just cute my bangs again, but I did it myself and now they're a bit lopsided! :P (So my sewing skills are about on par with my hair cutting skills!) And I always look forward to your comments Teddi, you're so funny!

  6. Welcome to the club! Although I'm certain your weather is much colder than where I'm at...haha, but hey, at least now I know I'm not the only crazy person around! ;)
I love that pretty maxi skirt and the pretty print scarf.
Also...thank you so much for the encouraging comments you left me. <3
You know, I'm discovering that cliches always have truth to them. That's why they're said so often. So it doesn't mean any less!
Aaaand, I totally see why so many people consider switching their major to Anthropology. Goodness, its absolutely fascinating!

  7. I really love the vibe of those photos. it's slightly hippie but in a very good way and the foggy background definitely adds a lot also. and I even can't tell it was horribly cold because you don't look cold. anyway, I love what you're wearing here. that maxi skirt is gorgeous and it goes so well with that jacket. oh and your head piece is beautiful too. yeah, I just love everything about that look, Katie.

  9. You may be crazy for going outside and taking pictures but if you hadn't you wouldn't have gotten such ethereal photos! They are lovely and your skirt just plays into the fantastical nature of the background.

  11. The photos are gorgeous and I love the flow in your skirt! Amazing that you can be so fashionable despite the cold weather! I think you have something to teach all the girls living in cold climates or do you just have very warm blood? I would freeze to death in that outfit!

  13. WOW. these photos are so eerily ethereal, Katie! I remember when I was driving up for Spring semesters to Fbks, and the whole entire time, it was this foggy. Scary but also enchanting. And I LOVE that maxi on you! I thought they were palazzo pants first, but it's even better as a skirt!

  15. I'm glad you went out despite the fog because the lighting gives you a cool ethereal aura. As soon as I saw this outfit I realized I must try mixing with black and white print swazer with my blush maxi. Thanks for the inspiration.
