Man, it was just the most amazing feeling to have actual sunshine today rather than hazy light, real beams of sunshine! Ahhhhh.  Best feeling in the world after a winter of vitamin d deprivation. Even with the sunshine it was little bit colder today, the wind was blowing pretty hard.  The cold doesn't usually bug me but I hate windy days.  Loathe them.  I would rather it be -50 with no wind than -10 with windchill, wind just drives me crazy.

I finally restyled this dress, I think I like the dress more with a sweater over it, it takes a little of the sweetness out of the dress.  I ended up liking this outfit so much, I'm going to wear it later this year with some yellow tights and brown sandals, just have to wait for some of this snow to disappear.  It's sort of funny how often I wear this sweater, it's been on the blog so often this winter along with my zebra scarf and these booties.  I need to make sure I don't fall into a rut of wearing the same thing over and over again but at least that means the items are versatile, right?

  2. Haha, when you wear an item a lot, you know you picked out something amazing. I love the sweater over the dress too - this is actually one of my fave looks from you now! Its just...well, perfect. The sweater, dress, colored tights, and cute jewelry!
Ah, and I agree on the wind issue...it gets SOOOO windy here in Idaho during fall/winter, and it drives me crazy! It'd feel warmer even if the temperature dropped and there was no wind. Ha, ah well, glad you got some sunshine though!

I am continually amazed at how you deal with such cold weather. It's been in the 30s here and I'm hating it.

  6. Hi Katie, the colour of your hair looks incredible in these images...maybe the rays of sunshine have something to do with this...love the reddish shade! I like how you went all neutrals on top and then popped a gorgeous pair of burgundy tights for colour. Excellent look!

  9. That dress makes a great skirt. In fact, I think I almost like it better that way.

How many hours of sunshine are you getting these days?

  12. I've been looking for a sweater just like yours...for a while now. Lol, I want to have a nice cream colored one that I can layer with skirts and jeans without being too bulky, still working on it though. But, if you feel like you want to share your versatile piece, you can always ship out your sweater to me :) I want some colored tights like yours so that maybe...just maybe I'll wear some skirt out in this cold weather.

  14. gorgeous look, Katie. I love everything about it (and the sunshine too!) but especially those burgundy accents (what a wonderful handbag!!) and the adorable combo of that dress and sweater. your thrift finds are always quite amazing and I wish some of those brands would be available here in Estonia too but oh no, not in real life. luckily I found a couple of goodies today. not very wintry though. or actually one of the three is wintry indeed, hehe, since it's a faux fur like scarf.

  15. P.S Just read your comment, thanks so much, you always are so kind and thoughtful, it means the world to me....talking about bunnies (because I love anything small, cute and fluffy) I used to have two when I was young, but alas, my rabbits' tale is not as sweet and memorable as yours. Do you still have photos of your bunny? Would love to see it?
