Dress: Anthropologie (thrifted for a quarter yo.)
Boots: Fergalicous by Fergie
Coat: Ellen Tracy (gift from my mom)
Leather Handbag: Thrifted
I got these boots last year, both Fred Meyer/Kroger and Famous Footwear carry these boots, but at Fred Meyer they are both $10 cheap and almost always on sale. It looks like this year both stores brought back the same style, I compared the ones I own against the ones in the store and they're pretty much the same. Anyways, the reason I'm talking about these boots is because they're large through the calf. I've done some research and I've discovered most boots run between 12inch and 15 inch circumference, or how wide the boot is. My calves measure 16 inches in circumference and I always have such a hard time finding boots. No one in town carries wide-calf boots and I rarely shop on the internet, so finding a great part of boots is a big deal. (In fact, before these boots I'd been wearing the same ones from years ago.) I measured out these boots and they run about 17 inches around, which is awesome! I get to wear thick tights and pants with them and not look like a over zealously stuffed sausage.
I also love these boots because they make me think of Spats, or half-chaps and since I adore just about anything horse-gear inspired, these boots are a great fit for me. After all, I am not Equestrian-sponsored-by-Prada-to-go-to-the-Olympics chic, I am barn-slave-muck-out-the-stalls-to-ride chic.
Oh yeah, it's that Anthro dress for a quarter again. I mentioned before that I like everything about it except for it being a baby-doll style. However, that just means I wear a top over it and problem fixed.
