Really just a kid and pony fest

Vest: Old Navy
Sweater: Thrifted
Pants: American Eagle Outfitters
Shoes: Old Navy
Handbag: Vintage Coach (thrifted)
Scarf: Fred Meyer/Kroger

Well, my outfit photos today were an epic fail.  I ended up having an issue with the camera and I sort of (completely) threw in the towel.  So rather than bore you with those, I'll just bore you all with kid and pony pictures.

This is Dollar, the new horse.  He's cute and has huge ears.  I on the other hand make weird faces.  (What else is new?)

    1. Hah, I am so the un-coolest mom ever! (But you are just insanely sweet for saying that!) but thank you, I always feel kind of bad ass when I'm having a really good ride and we feel all awesome and stuff. :)

  2. Awesome post!! I SO want to buy a pair of riding boots this season. I think that's gonna be my big fall investment. I'm just so torn if I want brown or black LOL.

    1. Real leather riding boots are so worth the money. The pair I have have lasted me so many years, even through the riding! (Dover, a horse gear based website and statelinetack.com are great for real riding boots, they care a huge variety of sizes and calf-widths. State Line Tack is the superior however, they ship way faster and have better customer service.) And that's a hard call between brown and black!

  3. Can I come stay with you just so I can pet the horses? They are such magnificent creatures.

Your outfit is pretty magnificent, too. It works perfectly for the scenery and I love that it works for your entire day (with just a shoe swap).

    1. Yes. :)
They are awesome animals, next to goats, I think horses have the biggest personalities. (And they are SO much fun to ride!)

  4. Love the kid and pony pics, but that first picture of you on the train tracks is awesome! Love seeing how the outfit transitions from the barn to outfit pics.

    1. Hah, most of the time when you see me in jeans, I've mostly likely been at the barn, but I do keep a change of clothes in the car. (I always end up so dirty.) Switching out a shirt or a air of shoes helps me move the look away from me looking like I've just been rolling around in the dirt. :)

    1. Oh, thank you Lisa, that is really sweet of you. I never get bored of the horses and I can just go on and on all day, I always have to stop myself since everyone falls asleep after ten mins of my chattering!

  7. I love the earthy color of your outfit, the olive and tan is really perfect for fall. And those wedges are seriously cute. Wow I just noticed from these pictures that Izzy looks A LOT like you and hehe I like how both your kids are wearing red :) And Dollar really does have big ears, so cute! I'm going to be volunteering at a horse ranch soon so I am super excited :)

    1. Izzy looks just like I did at her age! When I get out the photo albums, she points at the pictures of me as a little kid and "Says, that me! That Is-a-bel!"

That's so exciting about you going to the horse ranch! Ek, I want to hear all about this! I'm going to go stalk your blog now and await news of you working at this ranch, that is going to be so much fun for you!
