I'm one happy camper. Lately I've felt like I've really hit a plateau with my photography and like I just was not progressing at all. Every picture felt so blah. Looking back, I realized all of my photos that I've liked were NOT taken around our little neighborhood. I've just gotten tired of trying to find nice, quite little spots to take pictures and I've gotten so tried of trying to take photos with people just staring at me. Lately I haven't even wanted to venture outside to take photos.
Today I took the tripod and camera with us and while we waited for the husband to get off work, I had a moment of inspiration and pulled out the tripod and just started taking pictures in the field behind the restaurant. It felt so relaxing and wonderful, I loosened right up and really had a little breakthrough with my photography.
Lesson learned, this summer I'm going to start hauling the tripod around and take pictures at different locations and just relax and enjoy myself!
It most likely helped that I really loved this outfit. I've been running around all day getting prepared for our fishing trip, so these little snakeskin kitten heels were perfect and I gotta say, even though I love my bright red pants, these dark red ones are getting the most rotation. They really seem to fit my style, even though I love bright colors, I'm really drawn to natural tones. (this explains my obsession with olive/army green.) And this military style jacket is one of my very favorites, I'm always surprised at how many of my favorite items don't show up on the blog. (Maybe if I was better about posting.)
Speaking of fishing, I'll be gone for the next couple days, my whole family and I and the kiddos will be off to Chitna, doing the yearly fishing trip. Hopefully we'll get lots of fish to go into the freezer. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I'll see you all Monday!
The usual Izzy style picture. If only little girl clothes weren't SO cute!
(Yes, that's a pair of kitchen tongs. I don't really get it either.)
