Hot Licks

The family: The husband and the two kiddos.  Just look at the horrible face Gunner is making!

Leather Jacket: Gap (Consignment)
Dress: Pacson
Belt: Sears
Handbag: Liz Claiborne
Shoes: Shii (Journey)

We were originally going to go the swimming hole to day, but after the day dawned cold and overcast, the book store and Hot Licks sound better to everyone.  You know it's summer in Fairbanks when Hot Licks opens up, they have such amazing homemade ice cream and a lot of their flavors are made from local grown ingredients. (They have amazing beer ice creams in that they use the local brewery's beers in.  So good!)  They're actually recognized world wide for their homemade ice cream, so Fairbanks has one thing going for it.

I've worn this maxi dress so many times, I don't know how it hasn't ended up on the blog yet. At least it finally made it today.  I've worn this leopard print maxi with so many different things, from colorful cardigans to vests to this fantastic leather jacket. (I swear, this jacket fit like it was made for me!)

  7. WOW! You should wear maxi dresses more often... they look so nice on you! I didn't realize you were so tall! I would totally take advantage if I had a few more inches on me... Maxis always make me look like I'm swimming in a huge bundle of fabric! you look so pretty!

    1. Haha, I'm only tall because I have like 6 inch wedges on! I'm pretty short, about 5'2, so I have the same problem with most maxis being way too long. :)
Thank you Catie, you always say the sweetiest things!

  12. I love the leopard with the leather. You look like a rockstar on vacation. However, I can't decide whose outfit I like more- yours, or your daughter's. A floral sundress and a denim jacket is possibly one of my favorite combinations.

You suggested on my post where I announced I got red jeans that I should try AE's jeggings...I was cracking up laughing because that's EXACTLY what I got! Such a coincidence, no? Anywho, you're so right- they are some of the loveliest pants in the world <3

P.S. You just have thee cutest family ever ;D
